Ostra Regal, the story of a selection

From our Irish beds to the chef's table: the Boutrais family's approach.

A family, a standard

Ostra Regal was born from the Boutrais family's standards, an oyster house based in Cancale (Brittany) that grows its oysters on the beds of Ireland. The idea: keep only the best of the tide, the finest oyster, and give it a name.

A selection, not just an oyster

Ostra Regal is neither a single bed nor a single origin: it is a selection, a specification — four years of age, pousse-en-conche, hand sorting. Every oyster must be plump, consistent, with clean iodine.

The range

Around the signature Ostra Regal cru come the Gold Selection (the finest pieces), Amulette (the cocktail oyster for the aperitif) and Signature (the rare piece for grand occasions).
